Noise Reduction Uses

By nature, anything placed between the source of the noise, and the passengers, will, to some degree, reduce noise. This product has an organic fibrous core, which will reduce some airborne sound waves. When placed on the engine side of the firewall, not only will it reflect heat, it will also reduce some of the engine noise.

For best acoustical results using this product, first apply a layer of our Damplifier Pro vibration mat on the engine side of the firewall, and then apply this product on top of it to keep the heat out.

Thermal Insulation

This self adhesive barrier is designed to face the heat source to reflect radiant heat and dissipate convectional heat up to 800 degrees f.
This composite mat has 3 layers of high quality thermal insulation for the ultimate in automotive thermal insulation.

FAQ

Is Thermal Block self-adhesive?

Yes, it utilizes a high heat peel and stick adhesive.

  1. Great product 5 Star Review

Adheres well to clean surfaces. Super thin for what it does, great for low clearance areas. Requires nice sharp tools for cutting, it is a strong fiber. Gloves are helpful to avoid cuts while installing.

  2. Works really well 4 Star Review

I ordered the thermal block for my Pioneer 1000 sxs due to the heat from the motor. After applying the product the heat no longer is unbearable coming from the area between the seat and the seat back. I actually ordered more for another area. Highly recommend.

  3. Cooled down the Side By Side seat 5 Star Review

Added this to the seat panel in a new side by side. It substantially lowered the heat coming through the plastic panel. Product was easy to work with

  4. Unbelievable Performance 5 Star Review

This stuff is the size, shape, and weight of a piece of cardboard. I used it to insulate the trunk of a mid-engined sports car. The trunk was affectionately known as "the oven". I removed almost all of the factory insulation and used Thermal Block as directed. The trunk stays cool now, much better than before.
