Product Description

Luxury Liner - Mass Loaded Vinyl - 1 sheet 54" x 24" (9 Sq Ft) *Made in the USA*

Luxury Liner is a flexible barium infused mass loaded vinyl (MLV) used for sound attenuation. Combined with a closed cell foam (Overkill or Over Kill Pro) to help block the transmission of airborne sound waves coming from road noise, engine noise, and exhaust drone.

Typical Places of Use:

Works best when installed on top of a CLD and a closed cell foam decoupler

  • Door Skins
  • Floor
  • Firewall (cabin Side)
  • Van/Semi/SUV Panels
  • Trunk
  • Generator Boxes - (Must be 2" away from heat sources)
  • Rear Seat Wall
  • Building structures - Walls/ceilings

Adhesives

Specification

Sheet size =  24" x 54" (9 sq. feet)
Thickness =   Approximately 1/8"
Mass/Area = 1 lb per sq foot
Total weight per sheet = 9 lbs

Thermal range = -20°F to +180°F

**NOTE** Due to the weight of this product, it may be difficult to install to the underside of horizontal surfaces such as a ceiling. We recommend Heat Wave Pro or Mega Zorbe  as an excellent alternative.

Noise Reduction Uses

Luxury Liner is the final layer of a multi step approach. Damplifier Pro, Damplifier and Spectrum absorb structure borne noise. Next, a layer of Overkill or Overkill Pro is applied to filter specific airborne frequencies and then LL is installed to block noise.

FAQ

Does Luxury Liner come with a foam backing?
No

What is the difference between Luxury Liner and Luxury Liner Pro?
Luxury Liner and Luxury Liner Pro share a very similar heavy vinyl barrier. Luxury Liner Pro is a 1 lb psf vinyl barrier bonded to a water resistant closed cell foam while Luxury Liner is a 1.25 lb psf  mass loaded vinyl with no foam backing.

Why must I apply Luxury Liner to a foam decoupler?
Installing Luxury Liner on top of a closed cell foam decoupler, such as Overkill Pro, creates a change in density allowing the airborne sound waves to reflect off of the LL and be absorbed by the CCF.
