Second Skin Insulation recommends using HH-66 Vinyl Contact Cement to bond Luxury Liner Mass Loaded Vinyl to Luxury Liner Mass Loaded Vinyl. Also if you want to bond anything to the top side of the Luxury Liner Pro Mass Loaded Vinyl side you can use HH-66 Vinyl Contact Cement. When installing Luxury Liner MLV throughout the vehicle or project you will need to assemble pieces of MLV together to get a proper fit. So at Second Skin we recommend you use HH-66 to seal these seams to prevent sound waves from getting through.
HH-66, like most adhesives, needs to be applied to both surfaces being joined together and then allowed to tack up for about 90 seconds, once tacky press the pieces together. Since HH-66 is a contact cement we can use it to attach Over Kill/Over Kill Pro Closed Cell Foam to Luxury Liner Mass Loaded Vinyl. Since the Closed Cell Foam is so lightweight (unlike the heave MLV) only a few areas of the CCF/MLV application needs HH-66 (four corners and maybe a dab in the center) on applications that will be hanging vertically or to keep the material from sliding around on a horizontal surface. HH-66 Vinyl Contact Cement can be used to bond MLV to MLV, CCF to MLV, CCF to CLD, and vinyl to project areas.
Second Skin offers 2 sizes of HH-66 Contact Cement, they come in 8 oz. and 32 oz. options. The 8 oz bottle will be good for small projects and will cover roughly 10 - 15 sqft of vinyl projects. The 32 oz bottle will be good for larger projects and will cover roughly 50 - 60 sqft of vinyl projects. This listing is for the 32 oz sized bottle with brush.
